The museum, which opened in 2000, is located at the former signal station "Bankeck". Using documents, pictures, maps and practical objects, the museum offers an insight into the work of signallers and ship pilots. Outside, the display boards explain the rules of Rhine shipping and their ecological and economic relevance.
