Blücher Museum
The main focus of the museum is on an event involving the Schlesian army, which in the first week of the New Year 1814 crossed the Rhine River on a Russian pontoon bridge near Pfalzgrafenstein (Pfalz bei Kaub) under the command of Prussian commander in chief and field marshal Blücher. Blücher's headquarters were housed in the former "Zur Stadt Mannheim" guesthouse, a Baroque building dating from 1780. Since 1913, Blücher's accommodation, which is now a listed building, has been kept virtually unchanged and is lovingly and uniquely maintained as a historic memorial.
