Intarsia Museum
Intarsia work is an old skilled handicraft technique involving intricate inlaying, primarily of wood. The Rhineland Palatinate's only intarsia museum is also a working craft business attached to an intarsia school. This means you can watch over the shoulder of a skilled master craftsman or take part in a course yourself. Nature provides an inexhaustible supply of different woods that form the basis of these artistic mosaics. The museum uses both professional tours and impressive examples to spotlight this rare craftsmanship.
