The museum is housed in an old bakehouse that was renovated in 1999. It houses a permanent exhibition about the life and work of the poet, writer and painter Jakob Kneip. Kneip's lifework has a permanent place in German literary history, in particular due to the way he, as a Catholic author, grappled with the questions of this time. Kneip lived from 1881 until 1958.
